Internship
Summaries

Internships are full time and run for six weeks in the summer, beginning the second week of June. Our internships pay $17.75 per hour and are open to college sophomores, juniors and seniors, with the exception of our Marketing Internship, which is open to college sophomores and juniors only.  If travel is required, it will be local to San Diego. We will accept resumes until March 1 and interview beginning mid-March. Interns will be notified by mid-April of their acceptance.

Our Asset Management Intern will be involved in critical aspects of managing our portfolio and maximizing its value. Responsibilities will include financial analysis, market research, portfolio reporting and visiting our local properties and comps. You will gain valuable experience in asset management practices while contributing to the success of our portfolio through your analytics insights and strategic support. The Asset Management Intern will posses Excel and analytical skills to assist with financial modeling.

Our Capital Markets & Investor Relations Intern will support the financial and strategic initiatives that drive our platform. In this dynamic role, you will assist with both the debt and equity sides of capital markets – supporting deal sourcing, financial analysis, market research and the preparation of investment materials. You will also contribute to investor relations efforts by helping draft communications, maintain investor databases, prepare reporting packages and support meetings.

Throughout the internship, you’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of real estate financing, develop a strong understanding of capital structures and learn how we engage with investors to bring projects to life. This role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of finance, strategy and relationship management within a fast-moving environment.

Our Development/Construction Project Management Intern will support project managers and field staff with the daily planning, coordination and documentation of construction projects, while gaining meaningful hands-on experience in the field. This role includes a blend of onsite and office-based responsibilities, such as project documentation, scheduling and planning support, cost control and budgeting assistance, and contributing to site coordination and safety efforts. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite is required and familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, AutoDesk, MS Project or other scheduling software is a strong advantage. The ideal candidate should also be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and contract documents, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.

Our Marketing Intern will support the marketing department’s efforts to promote our properties and brand. Your responsibilities will include creating before and after presentations, scheduling photography as needed, auditing our websites, social media management and event coordination. This position is limited to college sophomores and juniors.
